| Abstract(in English) | In this report, we present recent research effort and progress on network monitoring at the JGN (Japan Gigabit Network) Tohoku University office. In order to achieve a scalable collection of operational information within a large-scale computer network, distributed network monitoring system would be inevitable. We describe the present status of research on two key technologies, distributed collection techniques of operational information, and the integration techniques of the collected information. We also present the network information visualization system, JaNI, which has been developed at the JGN office and dedicated to provide information regarding the network even to the users. |
