Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Real-time applications, such as VoIP and Video Conference, have been widely introduced to the Internet. Usually a realtime application stream consist of many and small size packets per unit of time. It may cause a QoS reduction on some routers. In this paper, we focused on the difference in router performances in case that packet transfer rates are changed, and we proposed new network control method "Packet Merge Technique" that QoS is improved by packet transfer rates adjusting. Moreover, the applicable domain is shown by preliminary experiment on a real network.
