Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, mobile computers with wireless communication protocols have become widely available. For achieving higher performance communication, some mechanisms for avoiding contentions and collisions of message transmissions have been developed and applied in wireless LAN protocols and as IEEE802.11 and HIPERLAN. Due to higher flexibility and lower construction cost, ad-hoc networks and getting popular. For supporting dynamic configuration and due to mobility and lack of battery capacity, on-demand route discovery achieved by flooding requests is adapted. In this paper, by using directional antennas in each mobile computers, numbers of contentions and collisions in flooding are reduced. The ordering methods for request transmission are designed and the performance is evaluated in simulations.
