Failure Restoration Method using Parallel Coding in Networks with Multiple Path Rate

Abstract(in English) MPLS technique applied to IP over WDM is widely studied. The advantage of this mechanism is that it enables to effectively construct connection oriented networks. This configuration can also use Diffserv and Intseve for the realization of reliable and efficient QoS services including a variety of different path rates. This paper proposes a failure restoration method using parallel coding constructed across the wavelength paths. The authors present the concept of efficient coding format and evaluated the performance. Performance evaluation includes coding block construction period and assigned packet ratio in a coding block.
