Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multicast is effective in real-time multi-point communication. Receiver-driven Layered Multicast is one of proposed methods to provide suitable video transfer rate for heterogeneous receivers over IP Multicast. In proposed methods, the rate control adjusting to available bandwidth causes burst packet loss which degrades video quality. The purpose of this paper is to suggest loss-resilient control method in respect of video quality. It utilizes the parity of FEC with Layer Coding. Three methods are shown as the utilization of the parity. Some simulations demonstrate that the methods archives loss-resilience and evaluate the performance of the loss rate and the inefficiency.
