Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The next generation mobile communication system called IMT-2000 can provide high-bit-rate data communication, so that a great number of packets conveyed by TCP will be transmitted over a wilress link. The communication over a wireless link can suffer high bit error rate, and the power control is thus executed to achieve some acceptable level of bit error rate. However, the power resource is limited, and Base station can't provide the control of transmission power all the time.In this paper, we treat a wireless link including several TCP flows some of which suffer high bit error rate because Base Station can't provide the control of transmission power well, and examine the effectiveness of the dynamic bandwidth allocation scheme for TCP flows in terms of improvement of total throughput performance in that context.
