| 抄録(和) | 移動体通信網やインターネットの急激な広がりとともに, wireless回線を利用したデータ通信サービスが注目されてきている.一方, 従来よりインターネットで広く用いられているTCPは, 伝送誤りがほとんど生じないwiredリンクを想定している.そのため, TCPはwirelessリンク上の伝送誤りによるパケット消失も輻輳によるものであると誤判断し, フロー制御が有効に働かず性能を十分に引き出せない恐れがある.そこで, 本研究ではwired環境を前提としている既存のTCPがwireless環境でどのような影響をうけるかをシミュレーション実験により調査する.さらにTCPのEnd-to-Endの通信モデルを重視しつつスループット特性を改善することに特に着目し, wirelessリンク上のLayer 2 ARQにおけるパケット管理手法に関して議論する。 |
| 抄録(英) | The data transmitting service over wireless networks has been further attracted with the growth of the Internet and wireless networks.However, TCP, which is a reliable end-to-end transport protocol in the current Internet, is tuned to perform well in wired networks where the error rates are very low and packet losses occur mostly because of congestion.Therefore, there is a possibility that the performance of TCP is severely affected when TCP used over wireless links which are characterized by high error rates.In this paper, we will clarify how TCP is affected over wireless networks by means of simulations, and discuss the packet managing scheme in Layer 2 ARQ to improve the performance of TCP in such networks. |
