Abstract(in English)	The number of customers of mobile communication is increasing dramatically. NTT DoCoMo has begun introductory phase service of the third generation mobile communication network (IMT-2000: International Mobile Telecommunications-2000) from the end of this May. This presentation is organized as follows: at first, the essential characteristics of mobile communications is overviewed from the teletraffic viewpoint on the second generation network. And then, the third generation network is introduced focussing on the difference from the second generation system and teletraffic issues on the wireless access and core networks are described.
