Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The growth of the Internet has placed demands for the flexible and fast-deployable service capability on the network infrastructure. Active Networks seek to meet these demands using programmable packets which are interpreted and executed on each of routers en route. In this paper we show our approach for the Active Networking, including the propositions of the expressive packet-programming language and the hardware architecture for fast execution of the packet programs. We also describe our software prototype and its evaluation.
