| Abstract(in English) | As the Internet is becoming an infrastructure, the network down and the quality degradation due to the congestion, network attack and so on becomes a serious problem. It becomes important to monitor the quality and traffic of the Internet in real time using traffic monitors. However, new traffic monitors cannot be developed in time for network operators' requirements when new applications and protocols are introduced into the Internet. This paper proposes a flexible network monitoring system using programmable traffic monitors. The programmability is achieved by introducing the active network. |
