Abstract(in English) Kyushu Giga-POP project is the network research project, in which the network research institutes share the high speed Internet access lines and research the architecture for inter-connection to the more high speed Internet back bone.The core network of Kyushu Giga-POP consists of the networks among housing space of network carrier in which many other high speed Network back bone concentrate, the communications and computer center which is the center of the regional university and the Institute of the city which has the connections with regional companies.Kyushu Giga-POP also has the access lines for the regional infrastructure.The development of the advanced applications are researched at the world class level with these high speed network back bone in Kyushu Giga-POP project.
