Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to estimate the teletraffic in a cellular networks, we have measured the motion of taxis(as an example of mobile platforms)and evaluated cell dwell time by overlaying hypothetical cells on the measured loci. We concluded that the cell dwell time of taxis does not follow an exponential distribution as had previously been presumed, but is, in fact, well described by a log-normal distribution, which is heavy-tailed distribution. In this paper, we evaluated self-similarities in the cell dwell time and the channel occupancy time, which are expected to cause teletraffic self-similarity in the mobile multimedia communication networks.
