Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Self-similar characteristic on tele-traffic has been reported. This paper discusses self-similarity of transmission delay time on the up-links of CDMA cellular packet communications. We estimate self-similarity parameter H of transmission delay time which is collected by using computer simulation, and analyze its power spectrum. Self-similarity parameter H obtained by R/S analysis increases with channel load and self-similar characteristic is observed under heavy channel loads. 1/f fluctuation is also observed on the power spectrum. The relationship between self-similar characteristic and throughput performance is also clarified.
