A Theoretical Study of Information Retrieval on Networks

Abstract(in English) Recently, there is much research in information searching problems. But, there is different character between general information searching problems and information retrieval problems on networks. This paper describes the latter from a new viewpoint theoretically. First, the probability space is defined under the information space, and the numerical effectiveness that information retrieval on networks is affected by the knowledge of the networks is defined. Next, this paper describes that various information retrieval problems on networks can be solved by above definitions. Furthermore, information retrieval on the Internet is discussed, and this paper suggests that what kind of knowledge information on networks should be provided by networks, for effective information retrieval on networks.
