A Humanoid Animation Making System Based on VRML

Abstract(in English) We developed an animation system to generate human actions based on a hierarchic human body description and action libraries. By this system, 3 dimensional human body structure and behavior can be managed in a unified way and be used collaboratively by employing a 3 dimensional space descripition language VRML. We studied techniques for describing human structure model or action information effectively and developed methods to generate action animation utilizing libraries in the Internet. The concept and the structure of the system are explained in this paper.
