Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are aiming at the effective use of guaranteed bandwidth in TCP/IP traffic and bandwidth in ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode). A study on ATM router with two step priority control which have VC mapping per QoS (Quality of Service) by the IP flow discrimination and VP mapping per QoS, the ATM cells/packets multiplex. Even if it faces like TCP/IP traffic, preferential bandwidth control should be made possible. This paper shows through experimental results for the Traffic character of TCP/IP by using the prototype circuit that we were able to confirm the effectiveness of the ATM router with priority lP packet multiplex.
