Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper we propose and analyze a measurement systetn for batch input traffic. The system is characterized by two parameters L and T which are related to two measurerment methods, i. e., event-driven and periodic measurement methods. We analyze a queueing model of the measurerment system by a diffusion approximation. Using the results of the diffusion analysis, we discuss optimal parameters which reduce the number of measurements as possible without losing a required accuracy of the measurement.
