An Optimization Method for a Multi-Term Circuit Routing Problem

Abstract(in English) Revolutionary progress in optics and digital cross-connect technologies have made it possible to construct a highly flexible circuit network on a high-capacity transmission network.In this paper,aiming at supporting planning of such broad-band transport networks,we propose a method for solving a multi-term optimal circuit routing problem based on the IA(Incremental assignment) method.In the proposed method,the multi-term problem is represented by a reduced single-term problem,and then the IA-based optimization method for a single-term routing problem is used to solve the reduced problem.Numerical examples are presented and the effectiveness of the proposed method is evaluated numerically.
