Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Flow aggregation seems to be one of key technologies, because it can greatly reduce the cost, In this paper, we examine the performance of flow aggregation of constant bit rate type traffic based upon the call blocking probability at the ingress routers. To analyze the blocking performance, we first develop a two-stages blocking model. The first-stage can be modeled by M/G/m/m type loss system, and the second-stage can be analyzed by generalized Engset model. Moreover, we propose a stable algorithm which allows us to calculate the blocking probability even in a huge system. Our analysis can provide the region of effective use of flow aggregation.
