Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose an IP over PON (Passive Optical Network) system and a Dynamic Rate Assign Multiple Access (DRAMA) protocol that make possible to supply various services over IP. This system utilizes the ATM-PON's physical layer which is standardized in the ITU-T by Rec. G.983.1. The DRAMA protocol has the advantage of utilizing the PON's bandwidth efficiently, realizing the fairness and supporting the QoS. We report the results of the simulations that show the effectiveness of the IP over PON system with the DRAMA protocol.
