| Abstract(in English) | The xDSL technology can realize to communicate with both a voice and high-speed data by using existing telephone copper line. An ADSL technology is especially attracted as the inexpensive access line to the Internet from customer premises. In this paper, we discuss the over view of the xDSL technology and it supplication, the standardization and the interoperability, the issues to build an access system, and experimental services and results. We also discuss the issues to apply the ADSL technology in Japanese telephone system, and to build the access system in Japan. Furthermore we discuss the ADSL application to the cable broadcasting or the condominium. |
