Abstract(in English) | This paper presents performance comparisons of local recovery caused by grouping of receiving nodes in reliable multicast. When the number of receivers in a group increases, a geographical expansion of a group will degrade the performance of the receivers. With a configuration in which most nodes in local-recovery group suffer from a shared loss, failure of local recovery degrades performance. Our simulation results indicate that a local-recovery group configuration that each group consists of two adjacent MANs performs better under the Internet-like topology with spatial correlation of packet loss. |
