Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recent years, VPN(Virtual Private Network)becomes one of the important subjects not only in the Internet, but also in the Intranet and in the Extranet. The VPN enables us to communicate safely by using public networks. A number of researchers study about DVPN(Department VPN). However, many problems arise such as excess load on the multicast server, and traffic on its domain when data with multicasting are sent or received under the DVPN. In this paper, we propose two models of packet delivery system such as the daisy chain model and the multi daisy chain model. We investigate the effects of load vartiance, network traffic, and delay time on the performance of these two proposed model. Results show that load variance of the two proposed model are suppressed due to reducing load of the multicast server. Furthermore, we show that delay time of the multi daisy chain model is improved as compared with the conventional unicast model.
