Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On the Internet, various mechanisms are proposed to guarantee a quality of services(QoSs) for real-time communication, such as RSVP(Resource ReSerVation Protocol). However, on wide area networks, it seems that it is difficult to guarantee a QoS because all routers on the path from a sender to a receiver have to provide a such mechanism to provide QoS. On the other hand, in the case without any bandwidth reservation, since UDP traffic and TCP traffic are processed in a single queue, UDP traffic is covertly affected by TCP flows on the Internet, thus we cannot guarantee the QoS of UDP traffic Therefore, in order to guarantee the QoS of UDP traffic we propose the model in which we provide two-queues' for UDP traffic and TCP one. We investigate the behavior of UDP traffic by means of simulations.
