Abstract(in English) | We had proposed a new flow control method to improve the efficiency of TCP and to extend the application range of TCP. The method was based on estimating the bandwidth (throughput) through dividing the acknowledged data-size by the ACK interarrival times, and computing the appropriate window size by multiplying this bandwidth by minimum RTT. In this paper, we report two modifications to our scheme and evaluate its performance on a Long Fat Pipe as well as a satellite channel. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme is better compared to TCP on both platforms. |
