Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) PNNI is a protocol for routing and singnalling between switches in an ATM network. Especially, scalability is achieved when the network is structured in a hierarchical architecture. Therefore, it is possible to establish an ATM connection through LANs and WANs, using a single PNNI protocol. In addition, PNNI supports "Qos"and "Dinamic Routing". By way of explanation of these methods, this report introduces following items in special:1)Method for making a hierarchical network, mainly focused on ATM addressing, 2)DTL stack routing, and 3)Crankback.
