Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In high-speed data networks, it is important to execute high-speed address resolution of packets in a router. In order to incorporate high-speed address resolution, address cache is effective. For HTTP accesses from users, it has been discussed that Dual Zipfian Model can describe the distribution of the destination IP addresses, and it can be apply the designing issues in address cache. However, for data transfar from WWW server to users, the distribution of the destination IP addresses has different characteristics from that of users' accesses. This papre shows the evaluation of cache hit probability of an address cache that incorporates high-speed address resolution. Our approach is based on an extention of Dual Zipfian Model which enables to describe the distribution of the destination IP addresses of data transfar from WWW server to users. This paper also discusses how to determine both the capacity of an address cache table and its aging algorithm.
