Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the ATM network,it is important how to allocate network resources and how to judge the admission of calls which require various transfer qualities. The author proposed a new ATM call admission control scheme based on cell transfer state monitoring which does not require the specification of the traffic descriptor parameters values by users. In this paper,an application of neural network to this control scheme is proposed to resolve some problems and improve the performance of this control scheme. Effectiveness of the application of neural network is clarified by showing the structure of this proposed control scheme with neural network,a decision method of various parameters values needed to implement this control scheme and finally the results of performance evaluation of this control scheme.
