A Dimensioning Algorithm using a Heuristic Flow Assignment Method for Networks with Dynamic Routing

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new dimensioning algorithm for telecommunication networks with dynamic routing.This algorithm uses a multi-hour engineering method and it assigns traffic flow heuristically.It is characterized by flexibility with respect to changes in network conditions,such as network structure and the constraints on network elements,and by high-speed calculation.The dimensioning algorithm is described,and numerical examples on an eight-node network with two time-period traffic matrices show that the algorithm reduces cost while maintaining a given grade-of- service.
