Real-time bifocal network visualization

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes our approach for visualizing networks by using a bifocal display.The bifocal display is capable of displaying both context and local details within the same window simultaneously,then reduces the disadvantages of hierarchical network presentation that is currently used.In the proposed bifocal display,operators can recognize both network configuration and event notifications using a single window only.We implement the bifocal network visualization using our frame buffer memory for real-time image generation.Through the operation of event monitoring simulation,we evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed bifocal network visualization.
