Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the realization of B-ISDN, broadcast services will be a large part of the network traffic. In these services, the same information is distributed to lots of viewers by multicast connection. This service form is quite different from those of current point-to-point services. In this service, current network topologies may lower the quality of services or may increase the construction costs. In this paper, the hierarchical network topologies for broadcast connection are analyzed on the assumption that broadcast services will account. for a large part of the network traffic. The construction costs for various values of parameters are calculated.
