Abstract(in English) As the ATM standardization Proceeds, it becomes important to realize OSI communication over ATM network for high speed heterogeneous computer communication. ITU-T is standardizing SSCF-CONS and SCF in order to provide the connection oriented network service on the top of SSCOP. By using these protocols, it is possible for the existing OSI protocols to be used over ATM as they are. We are developing OSI protocol software over ATM network according to this protocol architecture. The software is implemented as a user library for Unix workstations, and consists of the pseudo kernel and the protocol modules. Currently we have finished the implementation and the performance evaluation over ATM LAN gives the throughput higher than 50Mbps in the file transfer according to FTAM.
