| Abstract(in English) | Various bidirectional multimedia services including Video on Demand, Home Shopping, Network Game, etc. will be provided to end-customers in the future via a wide area ATM network. The customers will want to select their favorite service easily and freely without being aware of any service provider. This paper proposes a navigation service procedure and its essential function, which introduces the SP/IP's programs to the end-customers through their terminals called set-top boxes (STBs), automatically selects the appropriate SP/IP facility called Head End (HE) if an end-customer selects a program, and connects the STB to the HE. |
