| Abstract(in English) | This paper first enumerates desired characteristics of a network architecture of the multimedia em by studying essential features of the Internet. Then, it reviews the NTT's Open Network Plans press-released this year from the viewpoint of the desired characteristics. It is the authors' intention that the underlying architectural principles be amulgamated as NONA (NTT's Open Network Architecture)through discussions with interested and concerned people. |
