Abstract(in English) | To guarantee Minimum Cell Rate (MCR) of Available Bit Rate (ABR), it has been proposed that bandwidth management based on Allan variance of unused portion of the bandwidth. This scheme can evaluate the probability that cell-loss occurs when network is congested, based on the diffusion appnoximation. However, it has not taken appropriate boundary condition into account. This paper shows a diffusion model based on the method of images and its application to bandwidth management. Using this, appropriate boundary condition is easily considered. |
