Abstract(in English) Optical access systems such as single star transmission systems, active dable star transmission systems, passive dable star transmission systems have been studied. We have been developing a Passive Double Star (PDS) fiber-optic access system for the cost-effective FTTH system. We propose a systemar chitecture that integrates telephony, video distribution and multi-media applications by utilizing optical wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) technologies.
