Abstract(in English) Implementation of a hit-less protection switching LSI for the SDH-based AIM transmission lines is described. The Cell Alignment Method is adopted for the hit-less protection switching scheme in this LSI, which features none cell delay variation upon the switching. This LSI is available for the 150Mbps ATM transmission line, and also four LSIs are available for the 600Mbps ATM transmission line.
