An Efficient Method for Information Searching in Super Distributed Environment

Abstract(in English) This paper investigates information searching in super distributed database, which is formed by many independent information sources connected to a large-scale network. Here we discusses on two searching models. One assumes that there exists only one target, the other does not assume the number of targets. In this paper, we propose new searching methods for two models, using a measure of searching efficiency considering communication-cost and time-cost. Furthermore, it is shown that the performance of proposed searching method is not much degraded even if the exact probability that target exists in each information source is not known a priori.
