Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) One of the retransmission methods to improve effective throughput of TCP over congested links is SACK (selective acknowledgement). Considering recent advances in terminal interface speeds, growth of Internet and its accompanying traffic, in this paper, we present an implementation of SACK-TCP for BSD-OS and evaluation results by simulation under high load conditions. We present results concerning basic operational properties over ATM links, and show that employing SACK is effective for highly loaded networks.
