Abstract(in English) | MPEG2 video transmission over ATM network has a problem that cell loss and/or cell error deteriorates the quality of video. In this paper, we propose the retransmission control scheme for MPEG2 video over ATM. This control scheme is designed to guarantee the continuous low-delay stream transfer for live video. Experimental results show that our retransmission control achieves high quality video transfer at cell loss rate of 10^<-3> in both forward and backward channel. And we describe performance comparison between the proposed retransmission control and FEC. |
