Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have evaluated several performance measures on the IP Mobility Support based on IP^2 scheme in wireless LAN environment. IP Mobility Support schemes have following performance degradation factors against conventional IP ; 1)a registration duration for a MH's (mobile host) migration, 2)a blank duration during hand-off and 3)a communication delay caused by redundant path to a MH and en/de-capsulation processes. Through the experiments, 150msec, 2sec and 6msec are measured for the average registration duration, blank duration and communication delay, respectively. This paper also shows that a routing path optimization mechanism in IP^2 keeps a delay independent of the number of routers between a MH and its corresponding host.
