Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) in the broadband ISDN is one of the most promising means to provide multimedia communications in an efficient and unified manner. Connection admission controls (CAC) are discussed in this paper, and we propose a resource allocation method for the services in ATM networks. As file transfer services do not require real-time transmission, it is possible to change the bit rate of transmission at the source terminal side or ATM switch side. And there are multiple channels between ATM switches, and some control methods are needed to choose the channel In this paper, we show the performance of our proposed method with simulation.
