| 抄録(和) | 標準化が進められている高速インタフェースであるファイバチャネル(FC)を持ち、遠隔に設置された情報処理装置間をATM網を介して接続するFC/ATM変換装置を試作・評価したので報告する。ファイバチャネル速度は1Gbps、ATM網インタフェースは622Mbpsとし、チャネル速度に対して相対的に低速なATM網経由でチャネル情報を送出する構成において、ファイバチャネル情報をEND-ENDの情報処理装置間で送受信する。またFCインタフェースを持つUNIXワークステーション間で、チャネル情報の送受信をFC/ATM変換装置を介して長距離のATM網経由で行なった評価結果を示す。 |
| 抄録(英) | This paper describes the designed architecture and the field evaluation result of transfer performance of the developed FC/ATM Converter that connects remote located two workstations through ATM Network, and each workstation has Fiber-Channel interface. For the field trial, the Fiber-Channel interface of 1Gbps speed, and the ATM interface of 622Mbps speed are used as the interface of FC/ATM Converter. The design architecture for conversion of high speed Fiber-Channel information to relatively lower speed and long distance ATM circuit, and field evaluated result are shown respectively. |
