Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) FTTH (Fiber To The Home) trials that promote real businesses by providing the optical local area networks and digital appliances have performed at Kanazawa city. The SOHO and university participants created new information sharing services. There were three aspects: the dotcom business created within Kanazawa, the regional-area information services, and the group and individuals providing their information. This presentation shows the trial results including the basic concept and system configurations, and some practical services.
