| 抄録(和) | 本論文では、腫瘤陰影候補の検出に適応リングフィルタを用いた胸部X線像処理に基づく腫瘤陰影検出システムを提案する。提案システムは原画像からの適応リングフィルタによる腫瘤陰影の候補点の抽出、特徴量の測定と最尤法を用いた正常/異常判別からなる。適応リングフィルタは中心部分が虚脱した腫瘤影にも対応できように設計されている。本研究では、56個の特徴量の中から組織的に8個の有効な特徴量を選択し、候補点と肺門部との距離、微分画像および適応リングフィルタの出力が有効な情報を持つことを確認した。本システムの性能評価を行うために、JSRTデータベースにある247枚の胸部X線像を用いて実験を行い、その結果をROC解析評価した。ROC曲線の下面積A_zは0.82で、腫瘤陰影検出率80%のとき、誤って検出された正常陰影の数は一画像あたり5.2個であり、本システムの有効性を確認した。 |
| 抄録(英) | This paper presents a new system for detecting lung nodules on digital chest x-ray image. The proposed system consists of four processing steps. They are the location of lung nodule candidates by using adaptive ring filter, the extraction of their regions, the extraction of feature parameters, and the discrimination between the normal and the abnormal regions by using maximum-likelihood method. In the preliminary experiments, fifty six features were evaluated using ROC analysis and eight of them were selected. Furthermore the experiments showed that the output image of the adaptive ring filter and the differential image of the original one contain effective information on the difference between the normal and the abnormal regions. The system performance was evaluated using 247 chest radiographs. The experimental results show that the area under ROC curve of the proposed system is 0.82 and its sensitivity and the average number of false positives per image are 80% and 5.2 respectively. These experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed system. |
