Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a lossless shape coding method. The coding scheme is based on the arithmetic coding for the wavelet descriptor. In this method, the wavelet descriptor is obtained by the wavelet transformation for the contour direction vectors along the shape contour. In order to encode the moving shape efficiently, we also define motion parameter detected by the matching method for the contour direction vectors. The simulation result shows that the proposed shape coding method is more efficient than that of MPEG-4.
