Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper discusses the relationship between the accuracy of displacement detection and required Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR)in continuous template matching method. Here we assume that, as the model of noisy input and template images, the statistically independent, additive white Gaussian sequences are applied to input and template images. It is found experimentally that the SNR of 42dB is required in order to achieve the detection accuracy of 1/4 pixel resolution and the supression of higher frequency component results the degradation of the accuracy of displacement detection.
