| 抄録(和) | カラー画像を対象に, 多次元ヒストグラムを用いて領域分割をする一手法を提案する.画像は複数の密度関数から発生した多変量データと考えられ, ここで画像を構成する密度関数の数は一般には未知である.提案アルゴリズムでは多次元ヒストグラムを用いてこの密度関数の数を推定し, 同時にヒストグラムの幅もある基準のもとで最適なものを選ぼうとするものである。密度関数の数が決定された後, 各領域における統計量を計算し, 全画素をクラスタリングすることにより領域分割を行う.提案手法を計算機シュミレーション実験および実カラー画像の領域分割に適用した例を示す. |
| 抄録(英) | A data-driven segmentation algorithm based on a multi-dimensional histogram is proposed for color images. An image is observed as a mixture of multi-variate data, but the number of clusters in the mixture is generally unknown. The proposed algorithm determines the width of a histogram to use and then obtains the number of clusters according to the observed multivariate data. Next, the statistics for each cluster are computed, since this is a requisite for clustering all of the other elements. The proposed clustering method can be applied to various kinds of images, because it is not restricted by an image model used in model-based approaches. The effectiveness of the algorithm is evaluated by computer simulation, and the algorithm is applied to real color image clustering. |
