Abstract(in English) | The aspect ratios suitable for appreciating the ultra high-definition and wide-screen images were examined. First, the preferences for the images with four aspect ratios were compared with that for the 9:16 image. It was found that the preferred aspect ratio depended on the screen size, but not on the viewing angles. For approximately 60-in. size, the 9:16 or 1:2 aspect ratio was preferred most and for 90-120-in.size, the 1:2 was preferred most. Then, the degrees of"Potency"and"Comfortableness"from the images with four aspect ratios were compared with those from the 9:16 image. It was found that the degree of"Potency"for the images shot with narrow camera angles increased as the aspect ratio got smaller. The results for"Comfortableness"had high positive correlation with those for preference. |
