| 抄録(和) | 本稿では、臨場感通信会議における人物像の衣服を合成し、実時間で表示する手法について述べる。物理モデルを用いた布のアニメーションは効果的であるものの、複雑過ぎて実時間処理には適していない。通信会議においては、物理的な正確さよりも実時間のリアリズムが重要である。ここで提案する手法では、布は皮膚表面にマッピングされたテクスチャで表現される。種々の衣服のための特徴的なしわのテクスチャーを合成し、半自動的に皮膚表面に重ね合わせる。しわの生成は、人物の姿勢により制御されるテクスチャーモーフィングにより行われる。臨場感通信会議システムにおいて、布のテクスチャーのモーフィングをハードウェアによるpixel blendingを用いて行うことにより、リアルな表現が可能なことを示す。 |
| 抄録(英) | This papgr presents techniques for the synthesis and real time animation of tight fitting apparel on human figures within a virtual space teleconferencing system.Physical modeling and animation techniques for cloth,though effective,axe too complex to achieve real time results.The emphasis in teleconferencing is more on real time visual realism than physical accuracy.In our approach clothes are modeled as textures mapped onto a geometric skin. Chaxacteristic wrinkled textures for different garments are synthesized and registered on the skin in a semiautomatic and interactive fashion.Wrinkle formation is carried out by texture morphing controlled by the posture of the animated human.Enhanced realism is illustrated within a teleconferencing system by employing hardware pixel blending to morph between synthesized cloth textures. |
